Reporters, get out your pencil and paper.  Cameramen, hit the record button.  And Setanta Sports, get a new puppet show, because Jose Mourinho is back in European football.

The former European champion returns to the game with Champions League-underacheivers Inter Milan, who have three straight Serie A scudettos,  but haven’t gotten past the quarterfinals of the CL during that run.  In the last two years, Inter didn’t even reach the quarterfinals.

But the real story behind Mourinho joining Internazionale may be back at Stamford Bridge, Mourinho’s former stomping grounds.  With players like Didier Drogba, Michael Essien and Frank Lampard all rumored to be headed to Inter at some point over the last month, expect the Abramovich-Mourinho row to only grow in the coming seasons. 

An Inter Milan-Chelsea meeting in the Champions League?  Now THAT would be special.
