Thursday’s show covered the Galaxy-Chivas Los Angeles showdown set to play out tonight in Southern California. Up the Pacific Coast (where somewhere a shark in no mood to mellow out this weekend lurks), it will be interesting to see who emerges to take the Northwest Derby in Oregon.

Watching the Masters Series Monte Carlo men’s tennis tournament on TV unfold this week on one of the world’s great center courts has me pretty anxious to see if Portsmouth can execute the establishment of their new seaside venue to be reckoned with not only in the soccer realm, but the international sports scene period.
