Less than five days and counting until Fenerbahce make their seminal appearance in the Champions League quarterfinals against Chelsea. Not that there isn’t some business to take care of first. The upstart club is deadlocked in a tie atop the Turkish Super Liga standings with perennial power Galatasaray; Sivasspor and Besiktas are a close second two points behind. Fenerbahce and Besiktas meet tomorrow at Inonu Stadium (home for Besiktas). In the two teams’ last meeting on Nov. 3, Bobo’s 3rd-minute goal put Besiktas up early before Fenerbahce — consistent with their season to date — clawed back with two goals by the 60th-minute mark on the road to victory.
