There will be 60,000-some fans in full holiday spirit at today’s Manchester United-Liverpool showdown who may or may not know about this announcement that has been on the official Man U Internet site since early February:
“Additionally, fans coming to the Liverpool home match on 23 March should note the Megastore at Old Trafford will be closed for the day.
“This is due to strict council restrictions for trading on Easter Sunday when stores larger than 3,000 square feet are not permitted to open.
“However, the Megastore will be open on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday.”
Strategically, it’s worth wondering if only facetiously, how could this affect the club’s plans to have the funds in place needed to secure the services of a Benzema come summer?
