The runout going into the weekend…
1. Manchester United (Rooney-Tevez monster only growing)
2. Arsenal (Has proved so much yet so little at same time)
3. Chelsea (Rolling, and that mean kitty is poised to strike)
4. Portsmouth (Away form has been stellar)
5. Manchester City (Scoring depth slowly eliciting respect)
6. Blackburn (Friedel and friends a bunch of “0″ heroes)
7. Liverpool (Injuries have blackened Reds intrigue)
8. Everton (At least they play: only one draw this year)
9. Aston Villa (Fine front makes up for mysterious middle)
10. West Ham (Some offense away from big breakout)
MAYBE NEXT WEEK:
*Newcastle (Bevy of talent needs to be corraled)
*Fulham (This year’s draw specialists geeked about win)
*Birmingham (And Forssell hasn’t been starting because…?)

How does that power poll shake out now that Rooney will miss at least a month after injuring his ankle in training? While matches against Bolton, Derby, Fulham and Sporting Lisbon shouldn’t matter, England’s showdown with Croatia may.
While I may be somewhat partisan for Fulham, lookout for a Liverpool letdown against the Cottagers.
More on Rooney’s injury…
